Where will Early Childhood Education be in the Future ?
Welcome to my last project of the Fall semester. This project is mainly focusing on research that I have decided to dig deeper into. In the past my research projects were directed by the teacher and I had to follow what they wanted me to do. This project will be self driven. I will be taking control on where this will take me. The only thing is I will be focusing my project around the idea of the American Zeitgeist. Blog post #10 was the groundwork to what my project will be focused on.
My research project this semester is going to be mainly focusing on where Early Childhood Education is now and where I think it will be in the future. The reason I picked this topic is because I want to look deeper into where children’s education is now and where I think it will be in 20 years from now.
I believe that the topic I chose is important is because children need to learn starting at a young age no matter if its in a school, daycare or even within the home. Children need to learn what is going on in the world around them. Looking at where the education is today and where it might be in 20 years is interesting to the point where everything can be online but right now it is on paper and it is also online.
My research question for my project will be how did the American Zeitgeist impact diversity in early childhood classrooms today ? The reason I am focusing on this is because I am interested in how early childhood education has impacted today and how it will impact the near future.
The genre I will be focusing on is history. I will be focusing on the history of Early Childhood Education in the past, the present and how it will impact the future. Taking a look at this I have realized that this is more of a historical paper than a normal piece of writing. I want to take this topic and go beyond what is being given to do.
The citation style I will be taking on is the MLA style paper because I am a strong writer and I feel like I can add more to this paper than just words that can be read. I want to add pictures to this project as well as graphs to represent the difference between how many kids go to school verses how many kids do not go to school.
The main message of my project is will kids go to school starting at a young age in the future or will they be at home learning from their parents. The future is only a prediction and we do not know what will happen right now. Will technology take over a teachers job in the near future ?
My main audience for this project will be young adults who are sending their children to school for the first time. The reason they are my main audience is because some young families won't send their kids to school at a young age, they will wait to send them but in reality there is a benefit to people who send their kids to school when they are young.
