On this page I will be sharing my English Composition I Narrative Project along with previous assignments that have guided my along to be able to write this project. The last time I wrote a narrative was when I was a dual enrollment student taking my English 050 class here at Delaware County Community College. When I first walked into my English 050 class, I thought it was going to be the same as high school but after a few days, I knew this class was going to be a good challenge for me as a writer to change my identity from a high school author to a college author.
My writing experience in high school wasn’t very exciting because my English Class focused mostly on essays and research papers. My teacher said in the beginning of each paper that we would be doing two drafts but later on we were told that it was only going to be a single draft paper. This was rough for me because I knew that I needed to do a messy draft first before doing a draft that can be turned in.
In my Composting an Emotional Scene and Composing an Emotional Scene With Dialogue blogs, I was required to write about a time of my life where I felt a lot of emotions. The two blogs focused on times in my life where I felt the most emotions. These two blogs allowed to be dig deeper and picture the two moments in my life where I was very happy that I graduated from high school and the second allowed me to open up my heart and mind to talk about a loss of a family member.
Before I began to write my memoir, I was required to watch a video A Wizard of Oz Journey. This video had follow up questions that allowed me to go back in my heart and mind to find another emotional event in my life. Having this assignment find another story to tell helped me a lot because it helped me really identify myself as an author of my life.
